What is the difference between Apollo Twin USB and the existing Apollo Twin Thunderbolt?

Apollo Twin USB works exclusively on Windows, Apollo Twin Thunderbolt works exclusively on Macs. Both Apollo Twin versions have the same feature set in terms of I/O, sonic performance and general functionality.

What kind of I/O does Apollo Twin USB have?

Apollo Twin USB has two total analog inputs — selectable from two digitally controlled analog mic preamps / line inputs, or a front-panel high impedance instrument input on Channel 1. It has six total analog outputs, including two balanced line outs, two digitally-controlled analog monitor outs, and one dedicated stereo headphone out. It also features an Optical input, adding 8 digital channels of ADAT or two channels of S/PDIF.

How does the sound of Apollo Twin USB compare to other audio interfaces?

In simple terms, much better. With the same circuitry as the original Apollo, Apollo Twin USB was designed for uncompromising sonic excellence. Every component, from its mic preamps to its converters, was carefully selected to provide both fidelity and transparency.
